Silicates

BrW is a mining company based in Goiânia-GO, part of the MBPAR group.
We are pioneers in wollastonite exploration in Brazil, with the largest declared reserve in the world — a world-class project with over 100 million tonnes. With no other wollastonite deposits in Brazil or South America, current imports come from China, the United States, Mexico and Finland.
LOCATION
Located in the central region of Brazil, with easy logistics routes to the entire country.
MINE LIFE
Reserve with a mine life of over 70 years.
CONTENT
Levels are comparable to major global producers.
COST
Easy to mine and low operating costs.
APPLICATIONS
APPLICATIONS

Increased absorption of SiOâ‚‚, Ca and Mg
Reduction of soil acidity
Increased phosphorus availability
Improved resistance to fungi, pests and environmental stresses
Increased photosynthesis and plant growth
COâ‚‚ capture via mineral carbonation
This natural mineral provides significant gains in the productivity and health of agricultural crops.
Rich in silicon and calcium, it improves plant resistance, increases soil pH and reduces the toxic effects of heavy metals.
APPLICATIONS
APPLICATIONS

Melting point reduction in furnaces
Energy savings and lower COâ‚‚ emissions
Improvement of the physical properties of products
Reduction in the use of carbonate raw materials
Its presence in the industry contributes to improving the performance of various products.
Its application provides greater resistance, durability, quality in finishing and dimensional stability, in addition to favoring more efficient and economically advantageous processes.

Works DONE
BrW conducts a series of studies to ensure quality, efficiency and proof of the benefits of wollastonite. We invest in research and development to deliver a superior product.
PRELIMINARY WORKS
Bibliographic research and analysis of maps and satellite images were carried out, with the aim of interpreting regional data and guiding the next steps of the project.

FIELD SURVEY
Regional geological reconnaissance, detailed mapping of the area and sampling of rocks and larger fragments (bulk samples) took place, with around 150 kg collected within a radius of 30 meters.
SURVEY
26 drilling holes were drilled in a 100x100m grid, totaling 1000 meters drilled, proving the continuity of the ore up to 60 meters deep.
LABORATORY STUDIES AND TESTS
Studies were developed to characterize the ore, such as thin sections, X-ray diffractometry, chemical analyses and beneficiation tests, including viability as a fertilizer.
PRELIMINARY MARKET SURVEY
The mineral samples were sent for potential applications in the agricultural, foundry and civil construction (high-strength concrete) sectors, for technical validation.
